There were so many event going on during freshers week. There were events for everyone, people who love clubbing, drinking and even for the people who just wanted a quiet night in. When it comes to making friends don't be shy, going to uni is a new experience for everyone so everyone is gonna feel the same way as you.

I guess it helps if you know people that go to your uni but if you don't know anybody make friends with your flat mates.

That's what I did. They were really nice and we ended up going shopping together on the first day. I lived off campus, but there were so many things to do through which I met so many amazing people! It was amazing!!! Student union put on 1 event festival , the rest was externally organised in town.

Good to meet new people but wouldn't class it as any better than a usual night out. Great moving experience, made us feel welcome by giving us presents and organise different events, like a welcoming party. The festival on the second day was amazing, with the kind of music that I like. The pier party was awesome as I was actually expecting to be honest. Overall, a great week, with unforgetable moments. A week when I made most of my new friends. Very good introduction to the area , met loads of new people after we all had some drinks it was awesome.

I was put in a house mansged by the uni off-campus, so there was very little help or guidance available after collecting keys. We were meant to be visited by housing reps, but no one ever got in contact past an initial generic "welcome" email. Apparently there were activities running on campus from the night that we moved in, but we weren't informed.

This all made meeting people during freshers very difficult as most people had already formed groups within their accommodation. The overall set up was nice and coherent and offered a wide range of stalls. Each stall discussed societies and socials to participate in university and answered questions about General uni life. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming and the pier party was definitely te best part! I only wish we had gone to the pier a little earlier to fully enjoy the rides.

Other freshers in my block were also so nice and we now know people in every flat in our block. Average, tailored toward mainstream clubbing and less so more unique and different events would be good to have a wider range. The move in experience was amazing. Sussex prepared a week packed with so many different kinds of activities ranging from tea parties and long walks to bar crawls in town and jungle parties with performances from the likes of big narstie.

Moving in was much more fun and exciting than it was scary. You begin chatting to the people around you instantly and within an hour or to you will be on your way to the main freshers event.

There you'll meet more students and likely to find friends that you'll stick with throughout the year. The uni was helpful in helping out freshers.

It was good there was a lot of choices to choose from such as night club to a variety of food. Was a fun way to get to know more people and learn what the nicer places to go within the uni were. The society that I joined was specifically friendly and I met most of my friends there, would recommend. Universities Browse the top rated Universities. Courses Reviews and ratings of Courses.
