This hotels bolthole is a welcoming beacon of sussex on the Sussex coast, and is in a handy location for Lewes, Alfriston and the South Downs Way.

Perched across the road from Seaford beach, The Buckle is five minutes' walk sussex Bishopstone station, where regular trains to Lewes take 13 minutes, and Brighton is a half-hour journey. Beach, one of the best, pity there isn't a WC near by! Parks and gardens will be beautiful when in flower! Great bus and train service! Just a wonderful place! Liked it all very much. Just right size town for us and marvellous views and very good bus access To Brighton and Eastbourne and wonderful walk from bus at visitor centre for sea at Cuckmere Haven.

Locals were lovely- everything was an ideal distance from everything else- the sea is never more than a five minute walk away, and the local pubs are even closer than that! The seafront is really nice- not at all crowded and a really nice beach and promenade. The locals were super friendly and welcoming- a Chinese TakeAway and Restaurant owner stayed open later for us so we could eat there.

Locals involved in the triathlon were very nice when letting us move our car during the event to get to a wedding. We thought Seaford looked tired-a forgotten town. There are many charity shops and empty or vaccant buildings. The esplanade was long and flat suitable for wheelchairs or buggies but I don't think we will be back.

We stayed at Seaford for one night, and combined the visit to have a walk along the coastal path to the so called "seven sisters", a series of white rocks on the coast. This was one of the highlights of our holiday. In our case it was easy to get around, as we had our own car with us.
