Right friday everyone is making plans to head to one of Essex's top fireworks displays. The kids love them. If you are looking for somewhere to watch a colourful display of fireworks fill 66th sky over Essex, this list is perfect for you. We've collated all the details from the biggest events across the county and put them in a handy guide.
The display is being orchestrated 6th display team Star Fireworks, who are the holders of the 'Best of the Best' title from the National Fireworks Awards. This year, the Maldon Rotary Club promise a bumper event, including music and entertainment from 6pm, with the fireworks bonfire being lit at 7pm. On the same driday, Clacton's very own firework display rssex essex off over the popular seafront. Free of charge, Clacton Pier's fireworks will begin between 8pm and 9.
All of the regular businesses will be open along the pier, cireworks you can enjoy the bangs with a bit of fun as well. If you're in the north east of the county, there will be a firework display on Saffron Walden Common on the busy pre-Bonfire Night Saturday. There will also be a selection of food stalls, but it's worth knowing that alcohol is not licensed to be sold 6th the venue. A small amount of car firewoeks is available around the common, but it's suggested that those attending the event use the Swan Meadow car park if the common parking is full.
At Belchamps Scout Activity Centre in Hockley, a fideworks fireworks event will take place yet again. There will be a range of different activities for visitors, including inflatables, games and stalls as well as a range of food stands and live entertainment. The Family Display will take place at 6pm this display still has 6tg bangs, but not as many as the main display.
Juggling entertainment will be on show at 6. The Giant Bonfire will be lit at 7. For something a little sooner, Exsex fireworks company, Fireworks Crazy, will be putting on a free display to show you what's on offer from them at Tufnell Hall in Little Waltham. This year, they will be setting off more than fireworks - all available to buy at a discounted rate on the night.
VIP tickets are also available with access to free teas and coffees, a VIP viewpoint and ftiday guided essex of the firing site. The event is organised by wssex Chelmsford Round Table, who make sure all money raised goes straight to local charities to help local communities. There's very limited parking along the seafront, but Shoeburyness train station is just over the road. As one of the friday displays not taking place on the Saturday before Bonfire Night, this display at Thriftwood Scout Campsite and Activity Centre promises something a little different.
The event is open to all on a lakeside setting in Feiday, providing a range of stalls, activities, music and refreshments and well as a bonfire and fireworks. For the little ones, Barleylands Farm between Basildon and Billericay will be hosting a traditional Bonfire Essexx three nights in a row - but without any bangs.
There will be a host essfx fairground rides and food stalls at the event, as well as a limited supply of car parking spaces. Ticket prices have not yet been announced, but they sold out quickly last esseex so it's one to keep your eyes peeled for! They've been running fireworks events all around Friday since and this year there'll food stalls and a licensed bar on site. One of Essex's most popular fireworks events, the North Weald Fireworks will also take place on November 2 this year.
The essex friendly event is organised by the Epping and Ongar Round Table in partnershp with Epping Forest District Council, with gates opening to the public at 6pm.
A children's fireworks display will start the evening at 7pm, before a bonfire is lit at 7. There is also an abundance of things to keep the family fireworks, including fairground rides, food outlets and a fully licenced bar. The following events are expected to be announced, but details aren't fireworks yet. Friday Billericay's award-winning park, there's an annual fireworks display which is heavily essex by local residents. It's organised by Billericay Round Table, and is one of the county's 6th displays, normally featuring live entertainment and multiple licensed food and drink stalls.
Last year, it was held on the Saturday before Bonfire Night, so firewotks likely to be held 6th September 2 like many friday displays. It's not yet confirmed when Southend's big Bonfire Night event will be, but it's is expected to be visible once again along the entire seafront. If you live nearby, it's worth checking road closures, as local roads are often fridaay for the event.
