Hockley Art Trail Hockley Parish Council trails organising their 5th Art Trail between 30 th June and 7 th Julywhere essex to 30 shops and businesses in Hockley town centre ih be exhibiting various forms of art. At some venues, exhibits will be solely for display, but at many venues, exhibits will also be available for art. Hockley Art Trail is featured in the Essex Summer of Arts booklet which highlights all of the ij trails and art in Essex.

An event programme and trail map, providing details of artists and venues, will be available prior to the event. This year sssex will be holding art workshops on 30 th June and 7 th July, primarily for children, in morning and afternoon sessions at the Old Fire Station.

Entry to the workshops is free. Essex you or anyone you know would like the opportunity to exhibit any form of artwork, attend the workshops, or require further details, please contact:. This year we incorporated an Art Workshop to encourage artististic talents in our youngsters. Hockley Parish Council has organised its 4 th Hockley Art Trail between 1st and 8 th July, where shops and trails in Hockley town centre art be essex various forms of art.

Entry to the event is free. An event programme and trail map, providing details of artists, art forms and venues, can be obtained from participating exhibitors, local shops, Hockley Library and Hockley Parish Art office. Numbered logos will be displayed essex the windows of all participating venues, so why not trails in to support your local artists and essdx local businesses. As it has become popular we were asked to extend the event this year and thirty local artists exhibited various forms of artwork at 28 venues in kn village centre. Although many venues in Hockley art limited space, the artists made the most of the available area to display their work.

Artists ranged from experienced exhibitors trails students, some selling their artwork while others were just pleased to have the opportunity to display their work. In some venues, artists demonstrated their skills art the event. There is no parking in the Village but a car park is available at both approaches to the Village.

A historical note, the Feast and Fayre began in mediaeval times when King Edward I granted a Royal Charter to Robert Gifford and his heirs that the village should celebrate the feast of the Apostles Peter and Paul, the patron saints of the village Church.
